These 3 Teams have alot to prove still -- or do they?

Winthrop 29 -- 4
Nevada-Reno  29 -- 4
UNLV 29 -- 6----- Won 15 out of last 16 games. Beat Nevada-Reno// BYU // Air Force , when they were not supposed too.

Today Winthrop handled ND and Nevada-Reno  beat Creighton -- and UNLV beat Georgia -- a Team in the Top 10 earlier in the season.

The win against Georgia in a word was ( UGLY) but sign of a good Team who can shoot 8 from 30 from the field and still win -- is called defense -- that got R done. -- 67 -- 63.

Reno went into ( OT ) to win 77 to 71 ----- Ok I admit worrying about Teams like Reno -- and UNLV -- may be a bit  a non concern -- or is it?

Sunday UNLV plays the Whiskies --- then if they win, plays Oregon -- who barely got by with a 3 or 4 point win 57 to 53.

Winthrop knocked out ND -- final score wasn't a true statement -- could have been worse.

The point is -- Georgia and the Conference they play is T -- FOR TOUGH -- and UNLV prevailed, and so did Winthrop.

Duke was beat by VCU -- and the Theme could be in 2007 NCAA its not who you play, but how, and the Small Dogs are very very hungry -- Reno- Wolf Pack and Rebels.

Don't get me wrong -- I have liked the Buckeyes since my Air Force Days  -- but also have been  for the Underdogs -- this is going to be real interesting.

I'm really enjoying NCAA Baseketball for the very first time --- Game is still Pure and refreshing --

Thoughts Huh?

Winthrop is a good team....now 1-7 in NCAA tournament play all time.  They USED to be that 16 seed that got killed.

Now Nevada is serious business if you're not real ready.

Winner of NEV vs OSU to the final 4?  (that's my bracket!)

GO BROWNS, TRIBE, BUCKEYES, CAVS, YSU, and yes I like ND plus GO NAVY, beat Army!!

It's so hard to go undefeated, only one major D-1A team has ever gone 14-0 in the history of the college football and win the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.

I have Winthrop to the sweet 16.  Funny how some of these schools that used to be doormats in the tourny are now serios players (Winthrop and Butler).  What it seems is these teams are now scheduling hard team in their non conference, getting some wins, getting a high RPI and gaining respect of the selection committee.  They have a chance to become the next Gonzaga.  If recruits see them in the tourny every year with a chance they'll get better players.

At what point do these teams stop becoming doormats and coaching stepping stones?

I think this will be a good game as well.  It was tough the first time and I expect it will go down to the wire again.
