is it just me or does greg oden get called for the cheapest and weakest fouls. i don't see how every game he is sitting on the bench with foul trouble. the michigan game was the worst officiated game since oregon football against the sooners. it was terrible.

I was just wondering if anyone felt the sma eway or if im wrong and the refs are justified.

I think that he has gotten some cheap fouls called in the past.  Let's just hope that he doesn't get into foul trouble when it matters the most.

tav,

You always wonder about that, the "he's way bigger and better" than everyone else mentality in some refs approach to calling the game.

"IF" he can dominate, OSU wins.

Funny thing is he's so young but looks like he could be LeBron's older brother!!

It's so hard to go undefeated, only one major D-1A team has ever gone 14-0 in the history of the college football and win the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.

Interesting debate on ODEN foul calls, one way or another --  A big guy stands out in the crowd I guess --- Probably gets called more, as refs are zeroing in on such players.

It does however have an effect on how ODEN and players of his stature plays the game as it controls the tempo of the game and for some guys, not play as aggressive, and why OSU don't usually score in the 90's and such, speculation on my part.

Probably why ODEN doesn't score  more than he does --who knows?--

My views on REF's--- Ya never know what  game they are watching -- and they hate any player over  5'10"

I think UT is going to test how the refs are going to call fouls underneath and test Oden's patience.  Oden is pretty calm kid but he did seem like things were getting to him the X game.  I fully expect Pearl and UT to go after him and see how he and refs respond.
