2006 Recruiting Class

I just read that Chris Wells did sign a letter of intent.

Akron Garfield running back Chris "Beanie" Wells, considered the No. 1 player in the country by many recruiting experts, was the last of the recruits to sign his letter of intent. He faxed in his paperwork to Ohio State coaches shortly after 1 p.m.

OK, I read that Wells signed a Big Ten letter of intent.  He and a few others did it for cerimonial purposes.  I guess I was half wrong.

Saw something else that I thought was pretty cool.

Ted Ginn Sr. seems to think that Small is faster, more athletic version of his Son.  

Whoa!

FASTER than Ginn?  

Is he a guy that we are expecting to contribute as a Freshman?

Because if he is indeed faster than Ginn, could you imagine him on one side and Ginn on the other?  The threat of either going deep with Wells in the backfield is mind boggling.

The offense should be great the next few years.  If the defense is anything close to what it has been in the past, this is going to be a fun filled couple years.  (not that the last few haven't been)

He could contribute but you never know how fast some of these guys will adapt to the next level. Even without Smalls contributing this year our receiving core should still be very lethal.

I think the defense may take a step back but there is still an enormous amount of talent on the defensive side of the ball.
