I dont care what he does in the combine and i don't give a damn about his size. The guy can flat out play. He has the best arm in college football and i believe he has the best judgement skills as well. Brady Quinn may be taken higher but i think he will turn out to be another pretty boy flop like cryin ryan leaf. Charlie Frye could make a solid back up and we have talented recievers and the best tight end in football i think it would make sense to pick him. He will be gone by the time we get to pick in the second round. Plus, the most important thing is that being able to stay in ur hometown and be the hero is the way to go. Ask the texans how they feel about vince young now. Last but not least i want a authentic troy smith browns jersey.
I would like to hear what other people think about this. Get at me...

I've been thinking this for a few weeks.
Troy is a great story. He's the hometown hero up in Cleveland. From a PR standpoint this is a win/win for the Browns. Not only do they make the people in Cleveland happy but they will help themselves in the Columbus market where they are losing market to the Bengals.
The Browns need to OL help bad but I think if Troy is availalbe when they pick they have to take him.

I would love to have Troy as a Brown but I think the Browns will get a top 10 pick and pass him up and the Bears will get him because of there QB needs.

Troy Smith a Brown? Come on, why do you want me to Cheer against our Heisman hero? Troy Smith is a success story, that will all end if the Browns take him. I enjoy rooting against guys like Kellen Winslow, Braylon Edwards, and your BIG FAT Coach. As far as Draft Day goes don't worry about my Bengals drafting him, they are busy combing the prisons for talent. I think they are holding their next combine at Chino next week. The good news is we might draft some of Troy's old childhood friends. We just need to make sure they have an arrest record or a drug problem.

Dave5: Clarrett might still be available........
As for Troy going to the Clow....urrr...Browns. It does have a bunch of possible positives for all parties involved. Unfortunately, Cleveland is a death sentence to anyone that is good.
Cleveland hasn't done anything ever. They just plain suck.
2002=9-7
2003=5-11
2004=4-12
2005=6-10
2006=4-10 with 2 games to go.

We have him inked in the line up already. He should be available by the 2014 draft, 2011 if he is good.

No shit they blow. i just think that he is the best QB in the draft so why not take him. best arm strength by far and best accuracy by far. why not. they need o line help but when was the last good o linemen to be picked that wasnt a bust. Robert Gallery, Mike williams.

The BROWNS might pick as high as #3, (they should lose @ HOU next week) maybe they get T.Smith Round 2 pick #35....if he's still there.
Weak QB draft!

GO BROWNS, TRIBE, BUCKEYES, CAVS, YSU, and yes I like ND plus GO NAVY, beat Army!!
It's so hard to go undefeated, only one major D-1A team has ever gone 14-0 in the history of the college football and win the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.
Jim Tressel and The OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY BUCKEYES!

This is a real weak draft with names like Tate, leak, Stanton, overated Quinn. Smith doesnt get nearly enough credit.

I keep hearing late 2nd, early 3rd round because of his height.
Well...lets see. McNabb was 6, 2' and he was top 5. Drew Brees is barely 6 even and he was the 1st pick of the 2nd round. Vick is listed at 6 even and he was top 5.
Let's just say what it is. Scouts and GMs are ignorant to the player Smith is and they don't know how he is such a good QB that they are looking for anything to discredit his potential even if it flies in the face of past picks.
Smith will be a player in the NFL.
