Let's just agree that Corso says things to rile up fans.  Let's not take pop shots at each other because of Lee Corso???

Go Bucks!  Remember that.

At the time Zwick was the best option for the Texas game.  Smith wasn't allowed to play, and because of that he didn't many, if any, reps with the 1st team, and based on Zwick's performances in the Alamo bowl and against Miami there was no reason for Tressel to bench Zwick in favor of Smith.  Following that game JT made the tough coaching decision to go with Smith because he felt Smith had more upside.  Looking back at the the situation JT had every justification to name Zwick the starter for the remainder of the 05 season.

Looks like JT made the right choice when he chose Troy.

Justin Zwick at that point and time was playing well, did you not see how he tormeted OSU in the Alamo Bowl.  http://www.alamobowl.com/history/bowl.php?uid=12 Theres the game if you dont remember, and the Bucks should have won with Zwick as the QB in that game, kid.

At that point and time Tressel did what was best for the team.  Period.  Horrible comment, Tressel doesnt know what he is talking about.  Are you serious.  Get a grip.

How do you explain him being on game day then???  If he doesnt know anything why is he on there. Oh thats wright you dont know anything about anything.

You must swing on corsos nuts. the man is on gameday like all these other people posted to stir shit up. Not to be tell things how they are. U must have picked cal to win the national title to. Corso like you must not knopw shit about football. Troy Smith came into the came clearly the better quarterback showed that he was better during the game. And what did zwick do nothing. Tressel made one mistake like all humans do. i didnt say he was a bad coach. But for an idiot to come on tv every saturday and spout off shit like he knows what hes talking about and be wrong every single time is stupid. He works for a fucking pencil company. what makes you think he knowes anything about football. like i said in my last post if you didnt read it i understand why he is on the show i would just prefere someone to give me inside knowledge that i dont get everyday and something important about the game than putting on a hat and going against herbstreit just to go against him . dont get all worked up because you probaly thought like that idiot corso that texas, iowa, and michigan were gonna beat the buckeyes.

I agree. but i also believe that in the alamo bowl zwick was awesome. but one game doesnt make a quarterback.

To be honest, I was in the Zwick camp in thinking that he should have retained the job last year.  Justin is and was a good QB.  Smith just turned out to be legendary.

Zwick could have started for 99% of the college programs in D1A and been very successful.

Although it was a hard choice for JT an company to make, and they made the correct choice, it was a good problem to have.

Corso is just Corso.  He's picked against Ohio State all year this year so why should he stop now???  Who cares.

Fact of the matter is, Troy Smith cheated and put a bad rap on the OSU program.  He broke the rules and should have been kicked off the team, but he is the quaterback.  How dumb can someone get, taking money from a booster is the worst thing a collegete player could do: its the worse and most idiotic mistake you could make.  Taking money from a booster is like yelling F*ck in the middle of church.  All of this was after the basketball program was put on probation and the clarette ordeal, and Smith still did it.

Justin was playing well and never cheated.  Plain and simple.  Tressel instills maturity/accountability/integrity in his players, so holding someone accountable for there actions was no mistake at all.

You could say that Tressel made a mistake for playing Zwick, but all of the blame comes back to.......Troy Smith.  He put himself before the team and consequently put the team in a position that they couldnt overcome.

But, look what that benching did.  That loss hurt Smith more than anyone and he vowed to be a different person after that mistake, if he doesnt get benched maybe hes not winning  the Heisman by 87%.

I think everyone will agree with you that Smith made a huge mistake.  He paid his penalty and turned himself around.  The fact that Smith learned from his mistake and turned his college career around shows his maturity into a man.

You are correct, and I think Troy would agree with you, that if he had not been benched he probably wouldn't be the player he is today.

I will agree that it motivated smith. he has been cleaner than anyone in college football this past year. but the reason why he took that booster money was to help out a teammate. he didnt do it for himself. he was doing what he always does. helping others out.

Actually he took $500 from the booster and gave it to his mom because Clarrett had racked up a cell phone bill that was in his moms name.

Not saying that it was OK but his motives weren't what you say they are.
