Hey Guys - Happy Game day to us all!

My buddies have long accused me of being the "King of Useless Knowledge". A thought popped into my head the other day and I want to see how smart Buckeyes 24/7 nation is. I am going to ask a trivia question, and let's see who comes up with the first correct answer. (FYI - the answer I am looking for is NOT, with an expected romp today, all 4 opponents have had their butts handed to them by the Buckeyes, although it would also be correct.)

OK - here goes, and I honestly don't know if this has ever happened in college football :

There is a commonality that exists between ALL four of The Ohio State University's first football opponents for the 2010 season. What is it?

Grand Prize: A giant "We're not worthy!" serenade, a giant attaboy, and charter membership to the "Useless Knowledge" Hall of Fame.

Wow, those are 4 unusual teams, I'll think about it......I wonder if it has to do with coaches? huh

Normally my head is full of worthless trivial junk. blink

GO BROWNS, TRIBE, BUCKEYES, CAVS, YSU, and yes I like ND plus GO NAVY, beat Army!!

It's so hard to go undefeated, only one major D-1A team has ever gone 14-0 in the history of the college football and win the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.

Since it's now time to move on to Illinois, I'll reveal the answer. The first 4 Buckeye opponents in 2010 came to The Horseshoe and..........................

Their uniforms were all a combination of green and white!

All had white jerseys with green numerals, Miami and Marshall had green pants, Ohio and EMU had white pants.

Seriously, I wonder if that has ever happened in college football before? See why I have earned the title of "The King of Useless Knowledge".   laughing on floor laughing on floor laughing on floor

Go Bucks!

Interesting green & white. bb

Plus the other "green", the huge payday they get from visiting "The Shoe", a big number including a tie to the 105,000+ gate.

It's the way NCAA football does business now, few great big team matchups, more "cupcake payday games". Too bad, I miss those -but- 1 loss can knock you out.

I remember YSU's AD saying what the OSU, PITT, PENN ST checks bought for the team....well over $1 million total.
