Cryer' shirts all the rage in Happy Valley
Posted by John Taylor on November 4, 2009 9:29 AM ET
After his fourth-quarter fumble led to the game-winning touchdown for Penn State last season, Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor openly "wept" over the miscue that ultimately cost the Buckeyes a shot at an outright Big Ten title and a Rose Bowl appearance.

This weekend, Pryor and the Buckeyes will travel to Happy Valley to face the Nittany Lions in a game that will go a long way in determining the conference champ yet again, and the student body is doing their best to remind Pryor that there's no crying in football.

As part of a a special OSU-themed White Out, the Penn State Marketing Association is printing t-shirts as a "tribute" to Pryor, a highly-decorated Pennsylvania high school player who eschewed Penn State for Ohio State.

According to the school's student newspaper, the t-shirt will prominently feature the tagline "The Nutcracker: A Terrelle Cryer Story" and the following picture:

(chuckle)

While the shirts are not available to the public right now, they will be put on sale Friday in limited numbers.  And I'm quite certain Pryor will be among the first in line to grab this collector's item.

Innovative.  Hopefully it just fuels Pryor to torch them this Saturday.

I'm hoping for a new level of intensity from him as well, I know I'd be pissed if I were him.

These things tend to backfire a lot! Terelle is still a great talent, I hope he runs it down their throats.

.....gives me some hope for the BUCKS! Wink

GO BROWNS, TRIBE, BUCKEYES, CAVS, YSU, and yes I like ND plus GO NAVY, beat Army!!

It's so hard to go undefeated, only one major D-1A team has ever gone 14-0 in the history of the college football and win the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.

Jim Tressel and The OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY BUCKEYES!

Greetings OSU fans,

I’m sure you’ve all heard the phrase “saving the best for last.”

Well over the past 10 weekends, I’ve been traveling to every Big Ten school in the nation to do some tailgating, watch a football game, see the sights, try the local fare, and more.

When building the schedule, I intentionally saved Ohio State for last

So while I only have 40 hours in Columbus, I’m looking for your suggestions – Where should I tailgate (& how much is it to tailgate there), what bars/restaurants should I stop in at, what sights should I get a photograph of/with, what traditions should I be watching for during the game?

To get a look at what we’ve accomplished to date, check this out: www.THEbig10tour.com.

Personally, I feel that Iowa is the most overrated team in college football and should NOT be representing the Big Ten in Pasadena, so I’ll be cheering for the Buckeyes!

Thanks a lot!

Wow, this just shows a lot of class from Penn State to come out with these T-Shirts. Come on, Ohio kids go to a lot of schools other than OSU. Understand you may be ticked Pryor choose OSU over PSU, but come on. Clark has been good (from Ohio) and you have a top ranked QB coming next year. Pyror's emotions came out because he lost the game for OSU last year and you know he felt really bad about it. Hopefully when OSU players look in the stands and sees these T-shirts that it will just fuel all of them to have a big game.

I like the comment by John Taylor.  He claims that TP 'openly "wept" '.

I don't think that is true.  If I recall correctly he sat on the sideline with his helmeted-head between his hands, a towel over his head and his head down.  Is that openly weeping?  I guess it is a moot point, because that is what everyone says he was doing so, it must have been.
