I believe this team is in the NCAA tourny.  I think they've had enough wins, total and quality to qualify.

Any predictions what seed we'll get and possibly what region we'll be sent to?

Also, how many teams does everyone think the Big 10 will get in the NCAA?

I think this team is deserving of the NCAA, but I don't know if they will get in. Here's my thinking: Ohio State will have to be considered one of the bottom teams of the 6 or 7 that will be selected from the Big Ten. The more occurrences you have of a team winning the conference tourney that upsets the tourney favorite - the more chances you have of The Big Ten seeing the number of its teams decrease. i.e. - Cleveland State upsetting Butler last night. GOOD for the Vikings, you win the tournament, you should go buy your dancing shoes. But Butler probably was going regardless of last night's outcome. Now the selection committee must accommodate 2 squads from the Horizon league, not the single one they had planned on. That leaves one less spot for teams from other conferences.

True.  When teams from these smaller schools get in it knocks other teams out.

I heard rumors that many suspect the Big 10 to get 7 or 8 teams in the tourny.  I think Ohio State is solid.  They have 20 wins, 10 wins in conference, they have winning record vs the top 25 and are in the RPI 25 (last I checked).  If they don't get in, I'll be really shocked.

I think we will be a 8 or 9 seed(winner plays # 1 seed ) , but could improve on the with a few wins in the Big Ten tourney. sign_oh sign_io

Yeah, I would see Ohio State as a 8 or 9 seed...seven tops, depending on how far the Bucks get in the Tournament. Though in the slightly rare and extremely glorious event that the Buckeyes do win the tournament, that'll boost us up to 4 or 5th seed.

We've have a good number of key wins and our overall record is slightly better than that of last year. We should be able to get in the NCAA tournament, the only question is what seed we will be placed in and whether it will be a advantage or disadvantage to us.

And also to answer your other question Nate, 7 out of the 11 Big Ten teams will possibly be in the NCAA Tournament, and as a slight prediction of the seed they'll be in, as accurately as I see it.

Michigan State - #2 Seed
Illinois - #5 Seed
Purdue - (A toss up between) #6 or #7
Minnesota - #7 Seed
Ohio State - #7 Seed
Penn State - #9 Seed
Wisconsin - #10 Seed

I think we need one more win atleast, their are a lot of teams out there with 20 wins or more from big confs and some more in mid-majors with 24 or more, and if conf tournys have cinderella teams win, we might not have enough with 20 wins. So lets just beat 'sconsin and go from there. Big-Ten should have about 6 or 7 in, not MeetChicken!!!

Penn State got robbed, I thought they were more deserving to be in the NCAA tournament other than Michigan. Most of my predictions got seeded lower than expected, with the exception of Big Ten Tourney champion Purdue  dry in #5 and Mich. State in #2.

With the Bucks vs. Siena game coming up Friday, I guess we could use this thread as the main topic for the Buckeyes in the March Madness?

I know our game doesn't begin til later on tonight but we've seen a couple of awesome upsets and almost upsets in this interesting tournament so far. Such as Western Kentucky and Dayton, well done by both of those teams as well as Michigan as much as I hate to admit it.

I was also rooting for Northridge for awhile as well, but I knew Memphis would get it's act together at the end. Also valiant efforts from American Uiniversity and North Dakota. Imagine if NDSU were to beat Kansas, that would be the bracket buster to end all bracket busters!

Anybody can beat anybody in this March Madness, which should give Ohio State more reason to win or else they will be beat.

PITT had me (and a whole lot of others) really concerned!

Dayton just flat beat an overconfident WVU, might wake all the big dogs tonight.
