And the Buckeyes take the field...it's party time!

« on: February 14, 2009, 04:29:31 PM »

Well it is Valentine's Day and one could least focus on a game but the Buckeyes still have a game going against the Badgers nonetheless and you can catch that on ESPN at 9 p.m.

Big game tonight vs Wisky.  Two of the hottest teams in the Big 10 right now.

9:00pm tonight on ESPN.

GO BUCKS!

So sorry about that Nate buddy! laughing on floor I thought since everybody was out for the holiday, I was gonna be the only one paying attention to the game.

Glad to see you're on board too!  biggrin

We're ranked once again which is awesome! Hopefully the Bucks would ride the momentum against the underperforming Badgers.

It is good to see that we're getting some respect again.  This team is starting to mature.

Should be a good game tonight.  Bo Ryan teams are no joke!  He has Wisky playing well now.

THey're saying on the broadcast that Matta said that he's quote...."done, and outa here" if he loses Mullens, Bufford and Turner this year.  I think he's starting to get pissed about it.  He should.  His program is being effected both team wise and academically (which results in loss of scholarships).  If they don't do something this leaving early is going to kill college basketball.

Close game right now. 13-10 Buckeyes with 9 minutes left in the 1st half.

I feel for Matta because it really is getting ridiculous, stay in college kids! Get the degree first!

This game has been neck and neck so far, 48-47 Ohio State with 2:30 left.

Dickie V, love him or hate him, knows a thing or two about the game. I tend to like him. He may come off as a showboater, but under all that I think he truly cares for the kids and the good of the game. Anyway, he made a comment halfway through the game, "Mullens should not even be thinking about the NBA. He needs Ohio State more than Ohio State needs him." Bullseye Dickie. A player Mullens size and fluid skills should be a rebounding machine. Why are we getting killed on the boards? I bet 25% of Wisconsin's point were off second chance points. Either we need to rebound better with this group, our we need some space-eaters in next year's class.

I like Dicky V.  He is right, Mullens is not ready for the next level.  We should not be getting killed on the boards with a 7 foot center under there.  Mullens is very raw but he could and should develop into a very good player.   He'll make the biggest mistake of his life if he leaves now.  I don't think Turner or Bufford are ready either.

Ugh we pretty much collapsed at the final minutes of the second half mainly because of Mullens showing his inconsistency again. I also agree that Mullens should stick around as well as Turner or Bufford. Evan Turner is the only one I see even being picked in the draft at this point but his NBA stock isn't that high and there are other players that are more sought by other teams than him. Those 3 should wait it out and develop their game. Kosta Koufos got lucky in the draft in my opinion but Mullens is definitely not ready for the next level, especially just being a freshman.

I like Vitale as well mainly because of his personality, it's contaigous.  laugh

But I honestly believe that this is a game that we should've won. Wisconsin didn't beat Ohio State, Ohio State beat themselves.
