From the Dispatch:  Link <--

Ohio State's receivers picture heading into the 2009 season:

LEAVING

• Brian Robiskie, two-year starter, 2008 co-captain, led team in receiving past two seasons, including 42 catches for 535 yards and eight TDs last season.

• Brian Hartline, two-year starter who was second on team in receiving the past two years, including 21 for 479 yards and four TDs last season.

RETURNING

• Dane Sanzenbacher, a sophomore who was the usual No. 3 in three-receiver sets, had 21 catches but for a mere 272 yards and one TD.

• Ray Small, a junior, had 18 catches for 149 yards and no TDs, but occasionally has not been in the good graces of coach Jim Tressel.

• Taurian Washington, a sophomore who faded into the background in 2008 (zero catches) on a team that didn't throw much.

• DeVier Posey, a freshman who had 11 catches for 117 yards and one TD, but two of those catches came in the Fiesta Bowl.

• Lamaar Thomas, a freshman who saw limited time as a receiver (four catches for 29 yards) but became the primary kickoff returner.

• Jake Stoneburner, a freshman who was redshirted in 2008, and who at 6 feet 5, 235 pounds is often mistaken for a tight end.

COMING

• Duron Carter, son of Cris Carter, starred for Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., the USA Today national champion.

• Chris Fields of Painesville recently starred in a national all-star game in South Carolina.

• James Jackson of Grand Ledge, Mich., and a speedster like Fields, picked OSU over Florida, Oregon and Alabama.

Big reciever corp (means some will be good on ST Wink) + Pryor with one more year = points!

It's so hard to go undefeated, only one major D-1A team has ever gone 14-0 in the history of the college football and win the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.

Posey is going to be good.  Duron Carter is expected to do good things as well.  He's definately got the genes for greatness.

I can't wait to see the new young prospects play this upcoming season.

No matter how much great talent we lose we always seem to get it back because it's people like Jim Tressel that make our football program the best there is.

May next season bring us back to the promised land once again!

Small could be All-american this year, Washington looks good too, but I hope TP looks across the middle and can find Stoneburner for nothing other then to keep the LB's honest.

I don't know if Small has All American potential, but I do think that Posey has the tools to be all big ten this season.  It all comes down to whether other not the coaching staff gains enough trust in Pryors' arm to really open up the passing game.  IMO we will see a lot of man coverage in order to stop our running game.

Chris Spielman
There are Buckeyes, and then there is Chris Spielman.  This is a man that needs no introduction; he embodies not only what it should mean to be a Buckeye, but what it should mean to be a football player and a man.  Simply put, there cannot possibly be anyone out there who does not respect Chris Spielman.  The man was born to play football as he rose from the storied Massillon Tigers to OSU to the NFL.
