The Buckeyes fall back QB turned down Ohio State as this week.  They told Austin that if Boyd didn't come to OSU they would offer him a scholarship.  They did but he decided to keep his commitment to Miami of Ohio.

Looks like this 09 QB class is going to be without a QB and we will only have 2 scholarship QBs this year.

2010 class is where we need to start looking for the future in 09 we got nothing. This scares me a little for the 2011 season though...we better go big next year in the QB recruiting department!

It's still early so I wouldn't be in complete dismay just yet, I know everything will come full circle for the Buckeyes which will prepare us for next season.

Kudos to Austin Boucher for sticking to his commitment to Miami of Ohio. We don't see enough of that in today's world. Had the Buckeyes offered sooner, it may have been different. Good luck for a successful career in the MAC.

As far as I know, Alex Pidcock of Sylvania Southview has yet to commit to a scholl for next year. He led his squad on a state title winning drive against Cincinnati Anderson as the clock tumbled to 0:00. Good size kid - I think 6'-3" 215. Wonder if there is any interest there?

There are Buckeyes, and then there is Chris Spielman.  This is a man that needs no introduction; he embodies not only what it should mean to be a Buckeye, but what it should mean to be a football player and a man.  Simply put, there cannot possibly be anyone out there who does not respect Chris Spielman.  The man was born to play football as he rose from the storied Massillon Tigers to OSU to the NFL.

A dual threat QB from Texas signing up for the Buckeyes, that sounds super awesome. He kinda sounds like the second coming of Vince Young, not that we already have a dominant QB in Pryor but the more the merrier. :D

See folks, no need to dismay, though he has to prove himself first just like TP did.
