Tempe again?Huh??      Geesh, we might as well buy real estate out there ( if us Buckeye  faithful haven't already )

The other scenerio is the Suger with a date with Alabama.  And if that would be the matchup..........we had better get some things shored up on the D-line. ( Alabama has 2 very good running backs ).

At anyrate , we are in another BCS Bowl. We need a bowl win more than ever this yr , regardless who it is.

Go Bucks!!!

There are Buckeyes, and then there is Chris Spielman.  This is a man that needs no introduction; he embodies not only what it should mean to be a Buckeye, but what it should mean to be a football player and a man.  Simply put, there cannot possibly be anyone out there who does not respect Chris Spielman.  The man was born to play football as he rose from the storied Massillon Tigers to OSU to the NFL.

In that case I'd rather play Texas. Colt hasn't changed and we can beat them. We should be 2-0 against them, anyway.

Yep that drop by our TE ( Hamby I believe )  in the endzone in 06' stuck a fork in my side for that game . I like our chances against Texas as well. But we need to play an SEC team and beat them sometime in all of our lifetimes don't we.  :cool:

I'll take either team.  Bama is good but we should be able to hang with them.  Texas has a great offense but not sure how great their defense is.

Fiesta wants the Ohio State vs Texas matchup.  It would be a ratings giant.  Texas and OSU are 2 of the most watched teams in CFB and with that matchup it would probably be the 2nd most watched game of the year next to the championship.

Texas stats from this year..............

* Colt McCoy's QB rating is off the charts ( he's ranked 3rd nationally)

* Texas is 5th in the country in scoring

* Texas is averaging 177 yards rushing per game ( The Buckeyes are averaging 192 per game  :cool: )

* Texas is putting up almost 500 yards a game ( 490 to be exact )  ............Buckeyes are averaging 350 per game.

* Texas has committed alot of penalties this year ( 75 )..........they are high on that list

* Texas is 2nd in the country on 3rd down conversions ( 57.1 % ) that is just sick isn't it??

* Texas is 10 of 12 on 4th downs........( Buckeyes are 4 of 9 )

I am looking into thier defensive stats.  But Offensively , they are really good. We would have to get constant pressure on McCoy  ( ala the Michigan St game / Northwestern game) .

I will be back with some Defensive numbers for Texas this year............ :cool:

Texas defensive stats from this year..........

Team Defense

* Points alllowed  -  ranked 34th ( allowing 18.6 per game)

* Total yards - ranked 105th ( allowing 340 per game )  ..........I like that stat  :cool:

* Rushing yards - ranked 5th ( allowing 73.6 per game ) .......they have a stingy run defense ( but they haven't met Beanie )

* Passing yards-  ranked 229th ( allowing 266 yards per game) ..............are you kidding me??  Wow I guess that would be a red flag to Tressel to uh maybe stretch the Defense vertically and spread everyone out.

I am just saying..............

This would be a nice matchup , everyone would be healthy and ready to go. Pryor I believe would be in more of a comfort zone. We would definately be throwing the ball on Texas.

Lets start a petition NOW..............

Just say no to Bob "I'm a Michigan homer" Griese. I'll even take Herbie "I love the SEC".

Tood Blackledge and Brad Nessler or Mike Patrick would be fine.

Or do what I do - mute the stinking TV - and Listen to Jim Lachey and Paul Keels on the radio.

Blackledge and Spielman are my favorite announcers. They play no favorites and call the game fair. I also like Andre Ware.

If this is the game that ends up happening then I'll say we match up very well with Texas. They don't run anything offensively that we haven't seen this year and they definately don't have the defense of USC or Penn State. BRING THEM ON!
