And the Buckeyes take the field...it's party time!

Thanks, Scarlet.  That fills in the pieces of the puzzle for me.

Turned in last night just in time to see the women snatch defeat from the jaws of victory against N. Carolina.  I think I am bad luck to them as they immediately went into the tank after I turned it on.

Ohio State women's basketball has been on the same level for some time, IMO.  We are pretty good, but not good enough to play with the elite 3 or 4 programs in the country.  That is kind of the nature of Women's BBall, I think.

I was completely bummed about that result against North Carolina, but not too upset. After all, UNC has always been a basketball mecca, but the women's team came so close before just giving up in the last 4 minutes of the game. Like I said about the Men's team, the Lady Buckeyes are good but they can be better.

I thought that the commentary on the game focused way to much on the fact that they lost their best and not on the fact that we simply outworked Miami in the second half.  Our defense might be able to hold down Notre Dame's offense.  But I doubt our offense, playing as spuratically as they have been, can outscore their offense.

I was impressed with Deibler and Turner in the second half, and Lauderdale could end up being a force in the paint for the next couple years.

I was amused and annoyed about the commentary at the same time. I lost count on how many times I've heard McClinton's name.  laugh The Bucks played with a lot of heart and drive to edge Miami though they need their A game against the Irish. You've shown very evident points about out team terrelle#1, We got a good defense to keep us close against tough teams but the offense needs to be more hardnosed and less tentative. Instead of settling for jumpshots and 3's most of the time, they gotta penetrate inside, setting for not just easier points but putting the other team in foul trouble, as long as the opponent's defense doesn't take charges.

We will be heavily tested Saturday.

What a game. The bucks really showed their resiliency. This team is still coming together and learning how to play with each other. They could end up being really good.
