Ohio State vs. Samford Recap - Ohio State Forums

With a defensive effort the Bucks showed earlier today against Samford, not much offense was necessary, considering the fact at halftime the Buckeyes held the Samford Bulldogs down to 6 points! Everything was just clicking for the Buckeye squad as they led 30-6 at halftime. Dallas Lauderdale was the man at that half bringing a very dominant offense to score on the Bulldogs with ease while intimidating the Bulldogs on defense.

The 2nd half Samford did play better while the Buckeyes started to let up, being too relaxed by the big lead and played a bit sloppy until a scuffle between the two teams after a hard foul breathed new life within the Buckeyes as they just put this game in the books as a win, defeating Samford 59-22. Evan Turner and Jeremie Simmons played awesome in the second half with Turner being the leading scorer in the game with 16 points and 13 rebounds.

Everyone played their part pretty well but I'm still concerned about David Lighty, this is the 2nd consecutive game he's shown inconsistency. He's gotta get himself together and focus better on the upcoming games because his skills as a veteran are needed when the schedule gets tougher down the stretch.
