I wont need to hear the peanut gallery while I'm watching the game. I'll be with the crowd of a hundred thousand plus, screaming our heads off to give Michigan all sorts of hell. Any other way is just unnatural.

Scarlet Blooded - you lucky dog! I hope you witness another Buckeye victory. One of the few regrets I have in my life was in 1984, my youngest brother's freshman year. He calls me at 9:30 pm, the night before the Michigan game to tell me he has an extra ticket. I had a party of 12 coming the next day for the game - so I turned him down. Yes, Bless me Father, for I have sinned........... Would have been great to see Keith Byars and Vaughn Broadnax go nuts against the Wolverines.

Nate and I were lucky enough to witness Troy Smith's coming out party against M. The loudest and best game that I've ever attended.

I'm pumped for todays game!!! It's freakin' cold outside....better bundle up if your heading down to the Shoe.  jester

There are Buckeyes, and then there is Chris Spielman.  This is a man that needs no introduction; he embodies not only what it should mean to be a Buckeye, but what it should mean to be a football player and a man.  Simply put, there cannot possibly be anyone out there who does not respect Chris Spielman.  The man was born to play football as he rose from the storied Massillon Tigers to OSU to the NFL.

It's here!  Gameday.

Alright, I'll post my score mjp.  I don't think we cover the spread.  I say:

Ohio State: 24
scUM: 13

I think it's going to be a hard hitting smash mouth football game in the cold today.

BTW, Sgtschulze forgot to mention that the UM game we went to that was Smith and Gonzo's coming out party (04 I think), we were sitting in the Huntington Club.  Probably the best game I've been to at OSU.   I've been to a lot of games, including about 4 Michigan games.

A happy memory for me as well - we were at a buddy's house, grubbin on some excellent chicken wings (they were as hot as the Buckeyes that day), watching the game on his big screen. There were about 20 of us. The tone of the game was set in the first quarter when Troy hit Gonzo on the 70 yd bomb over the middle for the opening TD. Then Troy proceeded to tear the Wolverines a new a$$hole as he gashed them for 386 total yards that day.

Michigan fans will see today just how bad things are for them. For most this season is a pass, with the way things have been this yr.

I have my recorder on the Tvo set up................Beanie has a huge day.

And the Buckeyes take the field...it's party time!

« Reply #49 on: November 22, 2008, 09:30:58 AM »

Made it safely here in Buckeye City and it's such a joyous moment seeing others walk around in your team colors with the usual greeting of "How 'bout them Buckeyes?" Even the hotel staff were wearing scarlet and grey ties, I swear "The Game" should be a national holiday.  laugh

Believe it or not, not all Michigan fans are complete jerks. (I know they usually aren't but it's still a very rare sight) I came across some guy decked in Maize and Blue while staying in the Marriott. We exchanged wits for a start and eventually came to the obvious conclusion that RichRod is a jack@$$ that managed to ruin the reputation of Michigan football in just one year. So we both had that sense of harmony, despite that we didn't wish luck to each other's teams, after all, it is "The Game".

Hey don't sweat it Brooks, it was bad timing on your brother's part, as long as you're able to see the Buckeyes achieve victory, you will be forgiven. Always keep the faith.  smile

Anyway, I'm gonna go get another serving of hot chocolate before heading to the tailgate waiting the start of the big game.

GO BUCKEYES! BEAT MICHIGAN!
