I was just looking at the future non conference schedules for the bucks, here are the big games for the next 11 years:
USC 9-12-09
Miami(fl) 9-11-10
@Miami(fl) 9-17-11
Cal 9-15-12
@Cal 9-14-13
VaTech 9-20-14
@VaTech 9-19-15
@Oklahoma 9-17-16
Oklahoma 9-16-17
@Tennessee 9-1-18
Tennessee 9-7-19
It looks like a sec team is finally going to come to are stadium. Its a bad thing that its going to take this long to get a sec team up here. GO BUCKS!!

Tennessee is the only SEC team willing to travel.

I like the upcoming non conference games.  I don't really think many people can complain about that.

On the schedule, I'd like to see another conference game instead of playing the likes of YSU or other very low level teams.

Hopefully Miami gets its act together I'd like to play them as a top 5 team. jiust so it doesn't turn out the way the Wash game did where they were supposed to be our big non conference foe and they weren't respected at all going in to the game.

The only reason I can see Tenn coming to Columbus is because Fulmer realizes that to get his program back to respectability is to play a team like OSU that the SEC has been dominant against.  I just don't think that Tenn has the talent to beat us at their home let alone come to "The Shoe".

I like the upcoming competition so far. What I'm really looking forward to is the Oklahoma and Ohio State matchup. It'll be a clash of Oklahoma's offense against OSU's defense.

I agree, the OSU-Oklahoma series holds the most hope that we'll be facing a Top 5 opponent, Stoops has done a great job of making Oklahoma a dynasty.  Minus the Boise St game a few years ago, Oklahoma is one o fthe few teams that can say they are good year in and year out.  I don't really see Cal being a power in the Pac 10 and you really can't say for sure how good Va Tech or Miami will be be when we play them.

I dont think we will be facing a Phil Fulmer led team in 2018. He will be lucky to make it to 09  laughing on floor

Good call MJ, I think if they go with the right guy they coud be a major player in the BCS by the time we play them.  I know there are some coaches out there that could really make a push for a SEC championship, Lane Kiffin was recruiting coordinator for USC and you can see what kind of talent they brought in every year.  I'm not saying he would be the right fit in Tenn I'm just using him as an example.

Looks good for one game a year, but I thihk we need a little more meat in the plate in the other 3 if we want respect in the polls though. I do think playing a school from Ohio is good for Ohio football, but more than that is bad for OSU, unless the second is Cincy.

It's a good schedule but talk about how teams will look 7 or 8 years from now is premature to say the least. Who knows how good our "D" will be when we play Oklahoma? or how good their "O" will be then for that matter. Cal is mediocre right now and Tenn is a shadow of their former selves but who can say how good they'll be when we come to call? Wink
