Tired of all the QB controversy talk

I'm sorry that Todd got benched and that he lost his starting spot, but can we please move on. I undersand the upperclassmen having loyalty to Todd and they have the right to feel that way. Everybody needs to understand that the switch has been made and that TP is our quarterback. Tress is a pretty smart guy and I trust him 100%. I just spent the last hour listening to Bruce Hooley, who I listen to daily, question the decision and berate Joe Daniels for trying to protect TP. He pretty much said that Terrelle must be soft in the fact that nobody could bring up a QB controversy. He is a true freshman people, and he has a lot of things going on in his head besides the local media call him a pansy for comments made by the coaching staff. I just don't see where Hooley's almighty love for Todd is coming from.
I know of nobody that Jumped with joy with the thought that Boeckman was going to be our starting quarterback last year. I'll say that I was pleasantly suprised with his performance and I am greatful for all he did for us. But he was never this great passer who was going down in Buckeye lore. He was just somebody to get us through until the next Troy Smith.

Who says we have a QB contraversy???...................OH yea right , those folks who don't really matter much.
People like Bob Griese think we have a QB situation.............but I think Pryor shut him up in about 3 hrs of work last Saturday.

There are Buckeyes, and then there is Chris Spielman. This is a man that needs no introduction; he embodies not only what it should mean to be a Buckeye, but what it should mean to be a football player and a man. Simply put, there cannot possibly be anyone out there who does not respect Chris Spielman. The man was born to play football as he rose from the storied Massillon Tigers to OSU to the NFL.

I really like Bruce Hooley, He just is a holdout Todd Boeckman supporter and I respect that, but to go on and on about Pryors inability to handle pressure was a little much. It was on 1460 the big show last night 1st hour and it was really disrespectful of our staff and our freshman quarterback. I'll continue to listen to the podcasts because I like #36, but Bruce lost a little of my respect.

I'm not a Hooley fan. He's arrogant and thinks he knows more than he does. He's also pretentious and doesn't think he has to talk to regular people. Sgtschulze and I were at a sports dinner with him once, sat at his table, and he just didn't think he needed to talk to regular people. I lost all respect for him then, when he wouldn't talk about sports or even talk for that matter. His job is sports writing and broadcasting but he thinks he's to good to talk to regular people, they should just listen to him.
There is no QB controversy. TB is the backup. Contrary to whatever Hooley, Mussberger, Greise or whoever keep bringing it up. Unless Pryor gets hurt, we will not need TB on the field for passing to win the Big 10 Championship. This whole QB controversy is being started by the media. Yes, I'm sick of it.

I agree Nate. Hooley gets on my nerves just about everytime I listen to their show. I do however think the majority of his rants are to get people to call the show. He was not a TP fan when TP was a senior in high school. he basically said does OSU really want to take a chance on a kid who has been in trouble in high school. One incident that happened, TP was protecting a girl who was being harassed and the other happened at his HS basketball game afterwards when TP's team won by 26 and the opposing team made racial remarks as they went thru the line. Hooley said back then do we really need to take a chance on a kid with a bad background. Sometimes errrr alot of the time he shoots off at the mouth and I have no idea where he gets his info. Anyways, we have a huge game tomorrow..............GO BUCKS!!

Pryor will put all the naysayers to bed after tonight................he thirves in these situations. Even against USC, Terrelle wasn't fazed at all.

That experiment didn't work back in 03' with Zwick and Smith...........amd it sure didn't work when Cooper tried it with Stanley Jackson and Joe Germaine.
Dual QB's don't work............

Well somethings wrong when u loose three big games and I define a big game by if the game has national championship game implications. And in the five games we've played that had national championship game implications we are 1/5. The only team we beat was Michigan. And I'm getting my opinios by what the rest of the nation thinks of OSU. It's different to be a big time program in your own back yard but everytime you venture out of big ten country you get spanked you have to agree that something is wrong. If u look at the talent that we've had over those last six season there is no reason why we couldn't come up with at least one national championship. 2006 we were unstoppable. 2007 we didn't execute well enough, louisiana mojo working there, okay. But the blow out to USC was unexceptable because we still came with the same lame game plan even though we didn't have out big gun. And we shoul've beaten penn state. Your trying to tell me that I'm making a mountain out of a mohill. Come on.
