[!--quoteo--][div class=\'quotetop\']QUOTE[/div][div class=\'quotemain\'][!--quotec--]Having waited two years to play at Ohio State, Erik Haw wasn’t willing to wait any longer.

Haw, a sophomore running back from Independence High School, has transferred to Jackson State, a Division I-AA school in Mississippi. That will allow him to avoid sitting out a season, as he would have had he transferred to another Division I-A school.

He will have three years of eligibility.

"I wanted an opportunity to play and showcase my skills, let everyone see what they’ve been missing," Haw said yesterday. "I want my family to know that hard work and persistence will pay off in the end." [/quote]

Looks like Erik wanted to play right away so he chose Jackson State.  He wasn't going to play much under Pitman/Wells.  It still baffles me that he was under Mo Wells on the depth chart. No matter now.

Go luck Haw!!

He wasn't going to play behind Pitman and Chris Wells.  He is better the Mo Wells.

Haw just got stuck behind some good backs.  Plus he got himself in the doghouse by getting caught smoking pot.

I wish him well.  Although if I had his talent I probably would have gone to a bigger school than Jackson State.

He did have all of the talent in the world, and if given the chance to succeed, he could have.  But like you said, he wasn't a high character guy after getting caught with possession, so he fell into the doghouse, and last on the depth chart.  We'll be fine without him, but this is probably the last we'll hear about Haw.
