[!--quoteo--][div class=\'quotetop\']QUOTE[/div][div class=\'quotemain\'][!--quotec--]Disappointed at slipping from second- to fourth-string on the depth chart, running back Erik Haw is leaving Ohio State.

The running back, a thirdyear sophomore from Independence High School, has asked for and been granted his release from the Buckeyes, team spokesman Steve Snapp said.

Haw is exploring transfer opportunities, but it’s unclear where he may end up. He could not be reached for comment last night.

His coach at Independence, Alan Jones, said Haw is considering three or four schools but did not identify them.

"He doesn’t see the possibility of playing at OSU," Jones said. "He feels he’s paid his dues and now it’s time to move on." [/quote]

We wish Haw luck but you had to see this coming when Chris Wells came in.  I'm still a little surprised that Haw was under Maurice Wells.  I'm not impressed by him.

Should be interesting to see where he goes.

I am sure they would love to have him down here at Middle Tennessee State, but he is not likely to get the exposure, nor the high level of opposition he would hope for from the Sun Belt Conference, though I can't see a top 25 program signing him.

But I would bet my last dollar he would get PLENTY of playing time at MTSU (where I went to school)!!

The Blue Raiders are one of several other college teams I root for, though with FAR less enthusiasm than the Buckeyes !!

The others are the Tennessee Volunteers (for the obvious reason), West Virginia Mountaineers (most of my relatives are in WV and I'd love to see them play OSU, would be a great game !!), and the Air Force Falcons (I served in the USAF during the 80s).

There are two kinds of people in the world.
BUCKEYES .... and those who wish they were Buckeyes !!!

I think he'll have to go to a smaller school if he wants to play.

Sidenote: I was born in Knoxville so I like to see the Vols do well, although I don't follow them or care about them a sixteenth as our beloved Buckeyes!!!
