[!--quoteo--][div class=\'quotetop\']QUOTE[/div][div class=\'quotemain\'][!--quotec--]O-H- … uh-oh.

The Ohio State football team, which has lost four straight regular-season night games, will play its first two road games of the 2006 season under the lights.

OSU’s much-anticipated Sept. 9 game at Texas and a Sept. 30 game at Iowa both will kick off at 8 p.m., the Big Ten Conference and ABC announced yesterday.

The game against the defending national champion Longhorns — a rematch of Texas’ thrilling 25-22 win in Ohio Stadium last season — will air on ABC.

Three weeks later, the Buckeyes’ game with Iowa will air either on ABC, ESPN or ESPN2. It will be Ohio State’s first night game in Iowa City. [/quote]

I figured and hoped the Texas game would be primetime and under the lights.  I am not to enthused about playing a night game against Iowa.  That's just me.

Not buying into superstition but we've lost the last 4 regular season night games we've played.

This Iowa game has had me nervous for a while.

I'm not much into superstition ether.  Buckeyes just need to get it down.  I love that we're playing at night. football was meant to be played under the lights. It's just to bad more Big Ten Games are not played under the the lights, but the SEC and the Pac Ten have those times usually.  I think the night games are one of the reasons the SEC has such a great atmosphere.  I think the other reason is because there is nothing else to do in the South.  I'm looking forward to Texas, and I'm pumped about Iowa.

I'm pumped about both games as well.  I agree, night football games have a totally different atmosphere to them.

It's payback time in Texas.  Although for whatever reason I'm more worried about Iowa than I am about Texas.  I know Iowa is a weaker team this year and losing a lot of their defense will hurt them but we got blasted in Iowa City last time and they are also going to be looking for payback.

But the Texas game is going to be promoted like a bowl game again.

Well, last year we just happened to play great teams in the night games.

I think it's more a coincidence than anything.  Without seeing the revamped defense, it's hard to say if we 'should' win the night games this year either.  It's a little too early for me to worry, or feel confident at this point... just me

I think our defense will be fine - when has Ohio State not had a good defense? Aside from Doss in 2002 the defense was unproven and that worked out well.

Have a feeling that Penn State might also be a night game - I hope so because I have tickets...

Shouldn't this be announced shortly?

But yeah, I would love it if it does happen. The stories out of Happy Valley last year (especially from band members) were atrocious. While I don't condone violence, I'm sure some people will let the Nittany Lions know just how welcome they are in Columbus
