23-3, we all know what that is, the 2006 and 2007 BUCKEYES record, most of the 119 1-A teams only could dream of compiling a record like that!

Sure the BUCKEYES are only 1-2 in NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES with Jim Tressel, again some teams go 100 years and don't even get a crack at one shot.

We all know the details, a dropped TD pass, running into the kicker (part of 5 personal fouls), even though the total numbers weren't that bad.

But remember this BUCKEYE team started #10 or #11 in the USA, picked to finish third in the BIG 10. A young team that will be better in 2008.

Disappointing? YES.

End of the world? NO WAY.

I hope they make it back again in 2008!

GO BUCKEYES!!

GO BROWNS, TRIBE, BUCKEYES, CAVS, YSU, and yes I like ND plus GO NAVY, beat Army!!

It's so hard to go undefeated, only one major D-1A team has ever gone 14-0 in the history of the college football and win the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.

Jim Tressel and The OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY BUCKEYES!

I was getting ready to post something similar but you beat me to the punch.

Disappointed? Yes

However one win or one loss doesn't not define The Ohio State University.  The Tradition is bigger then any fan, coach, or player.  One 14-0 season or one 0-12 season does not define The Buckeyes, just another page in it's long history.  Time will heal and when the Buckeyes take the field against Youngstown State on August 30th I'll be just as excited as I was when the Buckeyes took the field for the Nation Championship Game.

If the National Media can't respect that then they have no idea what they are talking about.

I found this on YouTube, it gives me goose bumps thinking about next season.

It will be very intersting how and what they hype the USC game next...........they being the media. Because in alot of mainstream media minds USC is the best in the country .

Not counting Notre Dame.......when was the last time USC crossed the Missisippi River to play a football game. It seems as if they only play out west.

There are Buckeyes, and then there is Chris Spielman.  This is a man that needs no introduction; he embodies not only what it should mean to be a Buckeye, but what it should mean to be a football player and a man.  Simply put, there cannot possibly be anyone out there who does not respect Chris Spielman.  The man was born to play football as he rose from the storied Massillon Tigers to OSU to the NFL.

Screw the national media and the national fans.

I was disappointed in the outcome.  I thought we could have played better.  We still got there and we deserved to be there.

Like mjp said, we have a great record one that is envied by almost every other team in D1A.  We have accomplished more under Tressel in the last 6 years than any other program except USC and LSU.  We're a top 3 program in all of college football.

I love our Buckeyes, I'm proud of our Buckeyes and I'm happy Jim Tressel is our coach.

Just remember..this was a building year for the Bucks, not expecting the team to do anything this year. A new Freshman quarterback still wet behind the ears.   Yes we lost, yes we were inexperienced and yes someone has to win and someone has to lose but damn, we got to go to the "Big Dance". None of the other teams got to go. To me that is pretty good since no one had us any hope we'd go anywhere.  It only has to get better.....

Well said everyone.

One of the reasons that we receive the "hate" we receive here in West Michigan is fanatic envy.  I know that as well as anyone since I live in "enemy" territory.

What we have to keep in mind is that for every fan with fanatic envy there are many, many more fans that have the UM-tOSU rivalry in perspective.
