The numbers for our defense may not be where they will be at the end of the year, but our defense will atleast be 5th or better, and our offense will be a lot better by the time we play Michigan. Over in Ann Arbor they know that it will be six consecutive years, after this year. Mark my words, Ohio State WILL play for a national championship this year. They will play LSU, Kentucky, or South Carolina which ever one wins the SEC championship. It will be a good game, but Ohio State won't underestimate an SEC team again.

Well auto Mod, I live in Mid Michigan and go to school with an overwhelming amount of MSU fans and I post on Michigan forums and have heard of nothing of what you said, except the overrated part which I believe USF should be 1 because they have faced someone, actually, 2 good teams. SGT is right we have nothing to lose and Hart is leading in the RB category and my hope is he will make my NCAA football year a good one if he wins the Heisman. Also if Michigan beats you, your the team who lost to the Wolverines team who lost to Appalachain St.
I'm sure everyone has a different sample to select from. Just passing on what I am hearing. Listen to the Huge Show sometime, you should love it. He is the biggest homer since Homer.
We may lose to Michigan (even a blind squirrel finds a nut occasionally) but that will never match the humiliation of getting beaten at home by a 1AA team and mocked by the national sports media for weeks on end afterward. Michigan's humiliating performances against ASU and Oregon has had a devastating effect on the reputation of the Big10.

So Michigan is responsible for Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, and the other lows who give us bad name. Michigan is the team that lost 9 straight years to Penn State? Michigan is the team that has won 1 game against Minnesota in the last 16 years? Michigan hasn't gone to the Rose Bowl 3 out of the last 4 years? Michigan only lost to one B10 team in consecutive years the last 3 years and that was to OSU and and 2 of them were 4 points or less. Michigan has been down but even on their down years they're still better than the rest of the B10. And the Oregon loss, they are a dominate team and I put any amount of money that if you played them as early as we did or even now, they would give you a hell of a time, they should still be undefeated. And Michigan and Ohio State are on a whole different level than the rest of the B10.SO.. Before you spew your crap that Michigan gives the B10 a bad name, look up your stuff.
Overall Record (128 Seasons): 860-282-36 (.745)
Big Ten Conference Record: 455-164-18 (.728)
Cumulative Points Scored: Michigan 29,047; Opponents 12,501
National Championships (11): 1901, 1902, 1903, 1904, 1918, 1923, 1932, 1933, 1947, 1948, 1997
Conference Championships (42): 1898, 1901, 1902, 1903, 1904, 1906, 1918, 1922, 1923, 1925, 1926, 1930, 1931, 1932, 1933, 1943, 1947, 1948, 1949, 1950, 1964, 1969, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1980, 1982, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2003, 2004
Also ctab5, its kinda early to talk when you've beat the likes of: Kent State, Youngstown State, Washington(Still not that great), Akron, NW, and Minnesota. Beat someone better then ill give OSU some credit.

Oh yeah, those old 189?-190? Wolverines were something......before there were telephones and automobiles, I guess you went to the games on a horse
10 of their 11 National Championships were BEFORE 1948!
Geeeeezzzz I was born in 1950. Woody started at OSU in 1951.
Meanwhile since Woody & JTressel have been around:
National Championships 1954 • 1957 • 1961 • 1968 • 2002
Looking good....in the modern world.

It's so hard to go undefeated, only one major D-1A team has ever gone 14-0 in the history of the college football and win the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.

54' ,68'. Well 54' if my math is correct you were about 4. If you watched football at the age of 4 thats a surprise. 68' then you went on a drought, plus that was a long time ago to most people. And we both only have 1 national championship past the 90's. Point still being Michigan is not an embarrassment, their on a different level than the rest of the B10. Also you looked strictly at the National Championships, check out the other stats, one of them IS THE BEST IN THE HISTORY OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL.

Nobody cares about 50, 30 or 1 year ago. Fact is the perception is the Big 10 is down. Michigan losing to a non 1-A school started and helped that perception. That's the point. They're getting back on track but......they're getting back on track in the Big 10, further feeding the perception that the Big 10 sucks.
To most, perception is reality.
We're going to get it all year. Best thing to happen is for the Big 10 to dominate in the bowls this year.

Often when I see/hear/read this "you haven't played anyone argument" the PU game is ignored. The regard for which PU was held before we dominated them in their house is simply is not mentioned.
In addition, Washington is dismissed out of hand because of their record. The fact that Washington took USC into the 4th quarter is evidence that they have talent and are a pretty dangerous team.
Apparently NW, who we destroyed 58-7, must be pretty decent too. They lead UM in the 4th quarter and beat the MSU team, that so many Michiganders expect to beat Ohio State in the 'shoe this weekend.
Isn't college football wonderful? All the debates and in the end, everything will be decided on the field - every Saturday between now an November 17th when the Bucks go for the 4-peat.

Michigan beat Purdue 48-21, better than 23-3. Michigan has sucked in the past few years, im not gonna ignore that but Nate said it, we have to win the bowls. (somthing we havent done in a while.)
