FWIW ...

Here is some of the BS I am hearing from the talking heads and UM fans here in Western Michigan:

1.  MSU will be able to run the ball on our defense
2.  our defense really isn't any good since we have not played anyone yet   biggrin
3.  our offense really isn't any good since we have not played anyone yet    biggrin
4.  our team is too young to withstand the pressure of being #1 and will fold this week at home against MSU
5.  Dantonio knows Tressel better than anyone and will be prepared for anything that JT comes up with
6.  we are the most overrated #1 team in the history of college football and MSU will expose that this weekend

Apparently this MSU game is an opportunity for us to prove ourselves.  Of course, if the blow MSU out like we have been doing everyone else, then we still will not have played anyone.

Funny....

Ohio State is ranked 2nd in Defense against both the Pass and Run. Mich St. is ranked 68th against the pass and 24th against the run.

Mich. St. is ranked 9th overall in run offense. I need to put together a whole matrix.

What?  I might be able to take those comments from someone who's done something this year.  For those comments to come out Michigan is like a fat girl telling a 100 pound hottie she eats to much.  Give me a break.

We need to watch out for scUM. They have nothing left to lose and they only thing that would make their season a success is beating the Buckeyes.

One has to have a reasonably thick skin and a good sense of humor to live among the enemy.   biggrin

Most of the BS is from UM fans.  They squeak out 5 wins in a row and it validates their greatness.  We beat the same B10 teams they have beaten by a higher margin of victory and we have not played anyone?   laughing on floor  Talk about losing touch with reality.

The MSU fans are generally more realistic about the game.

There is no doubt MSU has a chance to win, if you play you have a chance, and I suspect the game may be closer than the 17-point line indicates, but I do not think that MSU is going to be able to sustain drives and score enough points to win.  Our defense is the real deal and our offense is much better than anyone wants to give it credit for being.  Hopefully, Saturday they will prove me correct.

Well auto Mod, I live in Mid Michigan and go to school with an overwhelming amount of MSU fans and I post on Michigan forums and have heard of nothing of what you said, except the overrated part which I believe USF should be 1 because they have faced someone, actually, 2 good teams. SGT is right we have nothing to lose and Hart is leading in the RB category and my hope is he will make my NCAA football year a good one if he wins the Heisman. Also if Michigan beats you, your the team who lost to the Wolverines team who lost to Appalachain St.  biggrin

Thats what I'm afraid of. Truthfully, Michigan is a good team that got smacked in the mouth. They will be at their best come November. You can count on it.

Incorrect.  Michigan gets some of the best talent in the country year in and year out.  Our defense was new last year and we have a new D Line and a young secondary this year.

I'm not discounting that Michigan isn't going to be a tough game.  It is.  We have a good chance to lose that game, because of the players.  Like I said, Michigan gets and has some of the best talent in the country, comparable to anyone.  Point blank, they are not coached well at all.  They usually lose a game they shouldn't lose early and they can't win the big one (since 98).  Coaching is your problem.  Not players.

You'll get a new coach next season.  I hope it's Les Miles.  lmfao
