Buckeye Faithful,

We are experiencing some issues with our SQL server. You may see an error message or have seen (too many times IMO) a message saying "unable to connect" or "too many connections". This is not an issue with your system or connection but within our host and the connection of our site to the SQL server.

We are working around the clock to resolve this issue. Our host is trying to help but unfortunately, this may result in our eventual move to another host.

One way or another, we will solve the performance issue. We are dedicated to the success of Buckeyes 24/7 and we genuinely appreciate your patience and perseverance during this time.

Thanks
Chuck

We had another mishap today.  The site was down for about 30, maybe a little longer.

Sgtschulze and I are looking for a solution.  Unfortunately no other companies that we've talked to can guarantee that the connections issue we are having won't happen.  The issue is we are on shared hosting.  Dedicated servers are just to expensive at this point in the game.  We've looked into hosting the site on own boxes but ISPs want to charge you business rates, not residential rates to do so.  Again, to expensive right now.

I have placed a request with our hosting company and asked if we can move servers.  In the mean time we'll continue to look for a solution to the problem.

Thank you for your understanding.

Down again! Everyone, we are working to get this moved to a more reliable server in the next week or so. We are putting up a test site this weekend on the new server and make sure that we don't experience any performance issues.

We WILL get this solved. Again, thanks for your patience and continued support while we work to solve the site server issue.
