I don't follow pro football all that much, but noticed that Mike Doss was not listed in the Dispatch run down on the accomplishments of former Ohio State players currently in the NFL.  What happened to him?  Last I remember he was with Indy - which might tell you a lot about how much I follow pro football.   biggrin

I am not totally sure but I think he had a series of injuries that might have pushed him out of the NFL.

Funny, I was just watching some CLASSIC BUCKEYE football games, Doss was fantastic!!

But lately, not so fantastic:

In 2003, the Indianapolis Colts drafted Doss in the second round of the 2003 NFL Draft. In that season, he started 15 games at strong safety and had 101 tackles, and one interception.

In 2004, at a New England game, he sustained hamstring injury, missing four games, and then suffered a groin injury in another game, missing two more. Despite these injuries, he had 49 tackles, one sack, and two interceptions that season.

On May 29, 2005 Doss was charged with a felony weapons charge and three misdemeanor charges in Akron, Ohio after police estimated hearing five to six gunshots outside a local restaurant. He was sentenced to 40 hours of community service and a one thousand dollar fine after pleading no contest to the charges. Colts coach Tony Dungy has said Doss would be disciplined by the team.

On April 4, 2007 Doss was signed to a one-year free-agent contract by the Minnesota Vikings.

He is still listed as "Questionable" on the injury list with a calf injury.....I think we may still see him again in the NFL, but with another injury?Huh??

GO BROWNS, TRIBE, BUCKEYES, CAVS, YSU, and yes I like ND plus GO NAVY, beat Army!!

It's so hard to go undefeated, only one major D-1A team has ever gone 14-0 in the history of the college football and win the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.

MJP, thanks!
No problem.

Maybe he gets to 100% and comes back to (Cleveland) OHIO?
They could use more DB help.
