I've never really heard the comeback talk around here (radio and newspapers), but I think the major thing, for me at least, was that UM stayed in that game.  Personally I thought the Wolverines were going to go down there and get blown out and they didn't.  I think that's the sentiment of the majority.

It looked like they could have gotten blown out the way it was playing in the first half.  But they did show some heart and grit by scoring on their first two possesions in the second half.  I just never got the feeling the game was all that close while watching it.

This year is going to be tough.  I think the Buckeyes can win but it will be VERY tough.  Plus, Michigan has some purpose.  I don't think they were respected as much as they should have been in the preseason.  I thought they were top 3.

The game was close in the second half I think Michigan would have won if it wasn't for dumb ass Shawn Crable hitting Troy Smith in the head giving you a first down followed by a touchdown, if he didn't do that you punt to us.

And Lloyd Carr made a stupid move by going for it on 4th and 10 when he should have kicked a Field goal which in the end would have been tied.

And I have no idea how you think OSU is gonna win this year, theres no way. No Troy, Ginn, Gonzales. On the otherside your looking at Henne, Hart, Arrington, Manningham, and Long. I'm more worried about Wisconsin than OSU.

Just for the sake of arguement, I will make a few rebuttal comments.

On a 2-score lead being close ....

If an 11 to 14 point lead constitutes close then I guess it was close.  Facts are facts, in the second half Michigan had the ball exactly ONE time with a chance to tie or take the lead and that was in the 3rd quarter.  For the preponderance of the 2nd half Ohio State led by 11-14 points (28-14, 35-24 and 42-31).

On Crable's hit ....

Crable's hit was particularly stupid in that on the prevous play, which was blown dead at the snap, he hit TS high after the whistle.  IMO, that stupid move likely influenced the refs decision to penalize him on the next play went he went heading hunting on the sideline.

Regarding our chances in 2007 ....

I like our chances, I like them a lot.  The situation could be a lot like 2001.

We won in AA in 2001 (26-20) with a young inexperienced team.  Michigan was heavily favored in 2001.  The game was over at halftime (20-0 or 23-0).  As was the case in 2006, Michigan scored points at the end to make the box score look much closer than the game actually was.

Henne, Hart have not beaten Ohio State yet, so I don't know how any Michigan fan can have hope that somehow they will pull it off this year.   biggrin

On my soapbox ....

I only have one thing to say about "Domestic Violence" Arrington and that is he ought to be glad he plays for LLLLLoyd, because he would have been thrown off of Tressel's team for the drunken incident with his girlfriend during last season.  The 5-play "suspension" that LLLLLoyd "hammered" him with was ridiculous.   rolleyes  No wonder they underachieve every year.

Everyone better worry about the Badgers!

Meanwhile LLLLLoyd better worry about OSU and his job.

It's so hard to go undefeated, only one major D-1A team has ever gone 14-0 in the history of the college football and win the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.

Jim Tressel and The OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY BUCKEYES!

I hear people talk about Wisky but I'm not totally sold yet.  They're a top 20 team and top 4 in the B10 but they lost their QB and two big time OLineman.  We'll see.

There are pics of the Pittman run.  I haven't seen many of the Wells run.  I'll see what I can find.
